The Dodgers’ starting rotation will begin to be at full capacity in the near future, and that includes the potential return of Roki Sasaki.

Sasaki has not pitched since May 9, where he managed just four innings in an eventual slugfest against the Arizona Diamondbacks, as he has dealt with a shoulder impingement that has sidelined him for over two months. The road to recovery has been paved for Sasaki, with his first step being a 39-pitch bullpen session on Wednesday.

Register reports that Sasaki will undergo another bullpen session at Dodger Stadium on Saturday, and will then report to Arizona to ramp up his recovery. Dave Roberts is high on Sasaki when he does return, noting how he has built up his strength while off the field.

“This is the time for him to figure things out, as he’s building up,” Roberts said. “From what I’ve heard from the pitching guys, the delivery is much more consistent. I think that lends itself to the strength that he has now. He’s gotten a lot stronger.”

The Dodgers are in the market for additional bullpen depth with the trade deadline now less than a week away, but Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times adds some outfield options should the Dodgers look at improving their corner outfield. Harris notes that Steven Kwan of the Cleveland Guardians and Jarren Duran of the Boston Red Sox are potential candidates, but the price tag will be a hefty one for either of their services.

Former Dodgers first baseman Adrián González has a new pizza shop in West Los Angeles, with the grand opening coming back on Monday. González’s shop, Slizeria, is located at the northwest part of Sawtelle Blvd and Olympic Blvd, and as Koco McAboy of FOX News reports, has a flurry of options for customers of all preferences.

“Our goal is to make great pizza accessible to everyone,”González said. “Slizeria is about more than just food, it’s about bringing the community together with flavors people love.”
