Young Bucks advance in AEW Tag Tournament, get their butts kicked anyway

A quarterfinal match in AEW’s World Tag Team Title Eliminator Tournament opened the July 30 Dynamite, and pitted the no-longer-EVP Young Bucks against The Outrunners. On the line was a semi-final match against the winner of the final quarterfinal, Brody King & Bandido vs. GOA, which happens on a special live Thursday Collision tomorrow.

Each team got several nearfalls in during tonight’s tournament match. Matt & Nick Jackson tried multiple dirty tricks, namely a low blow and a roll-up with a handful

of tights.

Neither did the trick, but were part of a finish leading up to a TK Driver (or is it the Meltzer Driver again?) to win it.

Adding insult to injury, The Bucks were joined by their friend Kazuchika Okada for a beatdown of Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd. But the man feuding with Okada for his Unified, Continental and International titles hit the scene, and Swerve Strickland was able to help The Outrunners turn the tide. He closed things out with a Stomp to all three former(?) Elite members...
