Barcelona’s pre-season tour to Asia looks to be back on, with the team set to fly out to Japan later today.
The Catalans announced on Wednesday that a planned friendly had been suspended due to issues with the promoter of the game.
A new update has now been provided by Gerard Romero, who states the “the team will travel this afternoon and the match will be played Events have unfolded quickly, and the original plan is being maintained.”
Barcelona are due to play Vissel Kobe on Sunday and will then fly
out to South Korea for games against FC Seoul and Daegu.
It’s a big U-turn but will surely be welcomed by Flick and his players as they step up their pre-season preparations ahead of the start of the new La Liga season.
The games also offer fans the chance to see new signings Joan Garcia, Roony Bardghj and Marcus Rashford in action for the first time.
