Milwaukee has designated relievers Bryan Hudson and Elvis Peguero for assignment, presumably in order to make room for the newly-acquired Shelby Miller and Brandon Lockridge on the 40-man roster.
Hudson was a key contributor for the Brewers out of the bullpen last year, posting a 1.73 ERA in 43 appearances. He was lights-out prior to the All-Star break (posting an ERA under 1 through June) but hadn’t been nearly as effective to end the year. That trend continued in 2025 as he struggled to a 4.35 ERA prior to his
demotion to Triple-A Nashville.
Peguero had been more than serviceable in both 2023 and 2024, but got hit hard (4.91 ERA) through 7.1 innings with Milwaukee this year. Ultimately, he never got a chance to redeem himself in the majors. Peguero had a 3.55 ERA with Nashville, higher than his ERA with the Brewers in each of the past two years. Both pitchers will look to latch on with a team in need of pitching depth.
