Triple-A: Syracuse Mets (31-44/13-5)

SYRACUSE 7, NORFOLK 6 (SUSPENDED - BOTTOM 7)

This exciting back-and-forth contest was suspended in the bottom of the seventh after a 40-minute rain delay. The game will resume tonight at 5:30pm followed by Syracuse’s regularly scheduled game, which will be nine innings. Prior to the tarp coming on the field, Francisco Alvarez’s homer gave Syracuse an early lead, but the Tides bounced back and eventually built a two-run lead of their own. But the game will resume with Syracuse having gone back in front

7-6 thanks to a bases-loaded walk. Between the third and seventh innings, Syracuse left ten men on base. José Buttó also worked around two hits to pitch a scoreless inning to open the game in his first Triple-A rehab appearance.

BINGHAMTON 3, NEW HAMPSHIRE 1 (BOX)

It was another good night for Jonah Tong, who yielded just one unearned run over 5 13 innings while striking out seven coming off his performance in the Futures Game. Jett Williams scored all three Rumble Ponies runs in the victory. Nick Lorusso provided the go-ahead—and ultimately game-winning—RBI single in the sixth when Binghamton threatened to put up a crooked number, but could not capitalize on a bases loaded, one out situation. Still, the Ponies added an insurance run in the seventh and it was enough for the bullpen, which was spotless the rest of the way. Anthony Nunez struck out three of the four batters he faced to earn his third save of the season.

HUB CITY 5, BROOKLYN 4 (BOX)

The Cyclones were stunned in walk-off loss at the hands of the Spartanburgers. Brendan Girton and Raimon Gómez combined for six no-hit innings before Hub City clawed back two runs in the seventh and eventually walked it off in the ninth on a bases-clearing double by Arturo Disla off Brett Banks after Ryan Ammons loaded the bases. Girton racked up a career-high nine strikeouts in his standout performance for Brooklyn.

ROSTER ALERT: RHP Frank Elissalt assigned to Brooklyn Cyclones from St. Lucie Mets.

Single-A: St. Lucie Mets (34-31*/14-7)

PALM BEACH 7, ST. LUCIE 0 (BOX)

GAME 1: FCL Mets 4, FCL Astros 0 (BOX)

This was the completion of a suspended game from July 2. Jonathan Jimenez pitched the rest of the game for the Mets and earned the victory with three hitless innings.

GAME 2: FCL METS 2, FCL ASTROS 1 (BOX)

The Astros got out to an early 1-0 and retained it until the seventh when the Mets rallied for two runs to walk it off. Edward Lantigua provided the game-winning RBI double to cap off a big day at the plate.
