Barcelona are due to play their first three La Liga games away from home in any case (against Real Mallorca, Levante and Rayo Vallecano) but are then
hoping to take on Valencia at Camp Nou on September 14.
President Joan Laporta has sounded optimistic that will still happen, although he’s also admitted he does not yet know when Barcelona will be back in their famous old stadium.
Barcelona had been due to play the Gamper Trophy at Camp Nou but ended up taking on Como at the Estadi Johan Cruyff instead.
The fixture against Valencia is now just over a month away, but there’s still no official word on where the game will be played.
