The injury situation for the Astros appears to be finally taking its toll, as they have lost two straight to the lowly Athletics. However, Nick Kurtz’s (The Big Amish) four-homer game last night seems anything but lowly, and a bad harbinger for the future of the AL West. But maybe the Astros’ AAA pitching had a little to do with it?
Still, the Astros maintain a five-game lead in the West thanks to the Mariners losing to the Angels in extra innings last night, and tonight a real major league pitcher
goes to the mound for the Stros.
But is he himself? In his last three starts, he has surrendered nearly a run per inning pitched. Tonight, Hunter Brown goes to get his team back on track, but also his own season. A fourth consecutive bad start by Brown would be as bad a news item as any number of the recent injury reports.
