Trade Alert: Portland Thorns acquires an additional international slot from Seattle Reign

Today, the Thorns and Reign announced a trade with an international roster spot for 2025 and 2026 headed to Portland for $60,000 in allocation money and $20,000 in 2026 intra-league transfer fee funds to Cascadia rivals, Seattle.

Amid transfer news, Portland must also be cooking something behind the scenes, as they have only seven out of those nine international slots filled. Those seven players include: Mackenzie Arnold (Australia), Kaitlyn Torpey (Australia), Daiane (Brazil), Mimi Alidou (Canada),

Jessie Fleming (Canada), Isabella Obaze (Denmark) and Hina Sugita (Japan).

Be prepared for more news to come and also to see the Thorns back in action next Sunday, August 3rd, when they face the Washington Spirit at Audi Field at 9:30 AM PT. The match will be streamed by ABC and ESPN+.
