WHAT'S THE STORY?

Everybody who comes to Cageside Seats has an opinion about what's going on in pro wrestling — Wrestler Rankings are where YOU let us know YOURS.

Cast a vote in the comments. Give us the five performers you think entertained or impressed the most in the last week, and feel free to talk about why.

We also have the outcome of last week's voting, the results of which make up our annual competition for the Cageside Cup, given to our Performer of the Year.

This week, we’re voting on nationally televised and

internet streaming pro wrestling shows that took place July 27-Aug. 2, 2025 — Raw, NXT, Evolve, Dynamite, Impact, ROH on HonorClub, SmackDown, Collision, New Japan’s G1 Climax shows, Night One of WWE SummerSlam, and everything else I’m no doubt forgetting.

But first, here’s the outcome of last week’s voting, and how those results changed our annual competition for the Cageside Cup.

We were wrong. She was right. She’s the best. We’re the worst. She’s very good-looking. We’re not attractive.

  • The new Knockouts champ was one of three people who left Slammiversary with a TNA belt to land in our Top Ten. The new X-Division king was third, and the AND STILL TNA World champ was seventh.
  • AEW’s Women’s World champion captured seventh for winning beating her next challenger’s Minion in a Title Eliminator, and for finding another loving partner in Alex Windsor.
  • Our fourth place finisher has a WWE Women’s World title shot coming up in Paris, and is spending her time until then being dope and beating up Chelsea Green.
  • The new GHC Heavyweight champ, a WWE star who’s become a mainstay in the Women’s World title scene, and an AEW star who’s kicking some ass in his second NJPW G1 Climax right now rounded out out Top Eight.
  • Why do we bring up a ”Top Eight”? Because of the four-way tie at the bottom of the Top Ten-that’s-actually-Twelve between Paul Heyman’s current top guy, and three champs; the NXT, WWE Intercontinental, and the AEW World ones, to be specific.

Ready to do it again? You can always check the “how to” here if you need to, or ask a question in the comments. The main things you need to know are you have five spots on your ballot, you can’t put the same person in two of them, but you can split a single or multiple spots between multiple wrestlers. Now...

Let’s have those ballots! We’ll take it from there, and see you back here in a week for the results and another vote!
