According to a report from Kicker journalist Frank Linkesch (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich is expecting Liverpool FC to loosen up its grip on winger Luis Diaz:
Bayern are expecting Liverpool to show willingness to sell Luis Díaz following their spending spree of around €300m so far this summer. Nevertheless, the club is also aware that LFC are tough negotiators when it comes to the transfer fee. Bayern are confident that Díaz wants to join them.
It seems like this is a deal that will get
done very soon barring any crazy breakdown in the talks or an injury. Bayern Munich wants the move, Diaz — allegedly — wants the move, and Liverpool will be overstocked in the attacked and likely looking to cut some salary from its budget.
From that standpoint, this transfer seems very likely to happen.
With a move for Hugo Ekitiké getting close, the reality is that Bayern Munich is likely going to get Luis Diaz…whether fans like it or not. Bayern Munich has reportedly also exited talks with VfB Stuttgart to focus on a deal for Diaz. It might also just be time for Bayern Munich to rip off the band-aid and sell Kim Min-jae, João Palhinha, and Sacha Boey. Finally, we have a note Bayer Leverkusen’s CEO and his recent slam on Bayern.
