Well, that was a very 2025 Braves game on Saturday night, even as a few of this year’s underperformers showed some life. The Braves would likely have to win 45-50 of their remaining 65 games to make the playoffs at this point and their rotation features two real starters, so we can pretty much call this season a wrap for making the playoffs. The big things to watch for the rest of the season with a look toward the future are : 1. Avoiding major injuries, 2. What can they get and who do they sell
at the trade deadline?, 3. Can Drake Baldwin win NL Rookie of the Year and earn Atlanta an extra first round pick?, 4. Do Nick Allen or Matt Olson win gold gloves?, 5. What alien feats will Ronald Acuna perform? and 6, Can Ozzie Albies and Michael Harris show something at the plate?
There are still things worth watching for, but man this season has been a disappointment.
Braves News
We pulled together everything on Ronald Acuna’s incredible throw-for-the-ages from Friday night’s game.
The bullpen absolutely melted down for 12 runs after a strong night from the offense and four good innings from Joey Wentz.
MLB News
The Phillies placed Alec Bohm on the 10-day IL with a fractured rib, after originally hurting his ribs last Saturday and trying to return on Friday.
The Guardians are reportedly listening to offers but maintaining high demands for some of their high-end bullpen talent on the trade market.
