All attention will be focused on what has already been an action-packed trade market over the last 24 hours with the MLB Trade Deadline today at 6 pm ET. While all that is going on, the Yankees still have a critical game ahead of them, looking to take three out of four from the Rays to become the fourth team in the AL to 60 wins. Either way, it promises to be a momentous day for the Yankees’ season.

absence, pitching to a 3.38 ERA in 16 innings. But then he got shelled for four runs in 3.2 innings by the Phillies, and with the Yankees announcing that Luis Gil will make his season debut Sunday against the Marlins, Stroman could be the man sacrificed from the rotation. In eight starts, Stroman is 2-2 with a 6.09 ERA (67 ERA+), 5.53 FIP, and 23 strikeouts in 34 innings.

Ryan Pepiot has faced the Yankees twice this year, giving up three runs on six hits in six innings on April 20th and then two runs on five hits in 4.1 innings on May 2nd, both games that the Yankees won via shutout over the Rays. Overall, the 27-year-old righty is 6-8 in 22 starts, with a 3.42 ERA (119 ERA+), 4.40 FIP, and 124 strikeouts in 126.1 innings.

Everyone in the Yankees lineup found a way to contribute as the Yankees erased deficits in three consecutive innings to walk off last night’s extra-innings thriller. We get our first view of Austin Slater in pinstripes as he comes in to play right, moving Cody Bellinger over to center to give Trent Grisham the day off. Austin Wells also sits after his almost fatal error, forgetting the number of outs to end the ninth, Ben Rice moving behind the plate and Paul Goldschmidt returning to play first.

The Rays also make a pair of changes to last night’s lineup. Jonny DeLuca replaces Jake Mangum in the outfield while Nick Fortes subs in for Matt Thaiss at catcher.
