WHAT'S THE STORY?

New York Giants star receiver Malik Nabers had an injury scare during Tuesday’s practice.

Reports from practice say that Nabers went to the ground while blocking for a run play early in the 11 on 11 portion of practice.

Nabers was reportedly on the ground briefly before getting up and going to the sideline under his own power. He then went inside with head trainer Ronnie Barnes, possibly with a shoulder injury.

Barnes reportedly updated both Brian Daboll and Joe Schoen on Nabers’ injury after returning escorting the young man inside.

A shoulder injury is worth monitoring, as he’s already suffered a couple shoulder injuries throughout his young career. The first was in spring games in 2021 at LSU, causing him to miss the first two games of that season. He suffered another shoulder injury in 2023 at LSU, but played through it without missing time.

He also missed two games with a concussion last year after a hard landing.

Rookie running back Cam Skattebo also reportedly went to the sideline to ride the bike during special teams drills. He went inside the facilities as well, but as of right now we don’t have a status on him.

Nabers appears to be done for the day, and we’ll be waiting for updates on the status of both Nabers and Skattebo after practice concludes.
