What's Happening?
The Kraken Community Iceplex has been hosting an Adult Learn to Play hockey class, attended by approximately 40 adults every Monday night for 10 weeks. Participants, including Maddie Scheutzow, a Kraken office and culture specialist, and Princess Lawrence, manager of investor relations and special projects, have been engaging in the program to improve their hockey acumen. The initiative encourages adults to learn the basics of hockey, from skating to handling equipment, under the guidance of Martin Hlinka, director of the Kraken Youth Hockey Association. The program aims to build skills and confidence, with participants showing marked improvement in their skating abilities over the course of the sessions.
