The Washington Capitals, in collaboration with Monumental Sports & Entertainment Foundation, have successfully raised over $2.3 million for charity during the 2024-25 season. The funds were generated through various community programs and initiatives aimed at supporting local organizations. The Capitals celebrated their 50th Anniversary by donating $500,000 to community nonprofits in the Washington, D.C. area. The donations were distributed among ten community partners, focusing on areas such as military support, health and wellness, and youth hockey development. Beneficiaries included organizations like the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Mid-Atlantic.
