The 18th match of the T20 World Cup 2026 was played between India and Namibia at the Arun Jaitely Stadium in New Delhi. Winning the toss, the Namibia captain chose to bowl first, putting the home team
India to bat first. The men-in-blue made two changes - Sanju Samson came in as a replacement for Abhishek Sharma, and Jasprit Bumrah came in for Mohammad Siraj. Abhishek, who was hospitalised in Delhi due to stomach ache - requires a bit more time before he can be in the playing 11.
Sanju Samson, who was struggling with the form against New Zealand, finally made his debut in the World Cup. However, the outing for Samson didn't last long as Samson departed on the 8th delivery. Samson was looking good for the 22 runs but he just threw his wicket away. He smashed 3 sixes and 1 boundary for his 22 runs.

The shot that he played wasn't needed at that position. He had already smashed 16 runs in the over with 2 sixes and 1 four. It will be interesting to see if Sanju Samson will get any opportunities now as Abhishek Sharma is most likely to get fully fit ahead of the Pakistan game, which is scheduled to be played on 15th February in Colombo.

Fans are now tired of supporting Sanju Samson, no one is talking about him😂#INDvNAM pic.twitter.com/hjSqlbcyvQ
