India are taking on Pakistan for the second time in the ongoing Asia Cup 2025 as both the teams lock horns in the Super four fixture at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. India are coming after three
consecutive wins in the group stage and are playing their first match of the Super 4s contest.
On the other hand, Pakistan suffered their only defeat in Asia Cup 2025 against India in the group stage. Now, arch-rivals are playing against each other again in Dubai and India will be looking to continue their winning run. Ahead of the important clash, Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and opted to bowl. However, fast bowler Arshdeep Singh, who completed his 100 T20I wickets in the previous game against Oman, didn’t get a chance in the playing XI against Pakistan. Along with Arshdeep, Harshit Rana is also missing from India’s playing XI.
Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana rested as Jasprit Bumrahand Varun Chakaravarthy make their return in the playing XI
India have made two changes in their playing XI in the previous match against Oman. Firstly, star pacer Jasprit Bumrah has made his return in the lineup getting rest in the last game. On the other hand, leg spinner Varun Chakaravarthy has also returned in the playing XI as India are playing their first match of Super 4s in Asia Cup 2025. This also means that, Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana, who came as replacements for Bumrah and Varun against Oman, have now been benched again as both the players made their return in the playing XI against Pakistan.
