HMS Prince of Wales has completed a series of joint operations with the Japan Maritime Self-Defence Force in the Philippine Sea, marking the first time a UK jet has landed on a Japanese warship. The exercise, part of Operation HIGHMAST, involved multiple multinational task groups, including the UK Carrier Strike Group, JS Kaga’s battle group, and USS George Washington’s Carrier Strike Group Five. The operations included anti-submarine warfare, air defense drills, and replenishment activities, enhancing interoperability among the participating forces.
