Recently, ABF officers intercepted two Indonesian fishing vessels off the Northern Territory coast. The first vessel was caught near the Cobourg Peninsula, carrying three shark fins and 500 kilos of sea cucumber. The second vessel, found the following day, had 1600 kilos of sea cucumber on board. Both vessels were destroyed at sea, and a total of eight fishermen were arrested and taken to Darwin to face charges.
