The Climate Change Performance Index (CCPI) is a tool designed to enhance transparency in climate politics by assessing the climate performance of 63 countries and the EU. These entities collectively account for over 90% of global greenhouse gas emissions. The CCPI evaluates climate mitigation efforts in four categories: GHG Emissions, Renewable Energy, Energy Use, and Climate Policy. The index is published annually at the COPs, providing a standardized framework for comparing national and international climate actions.
