Hoffman was admitted to the Illinois bar at the age of 22 and became an Assistant State’s Attorney for Cook County at 23, prosecuting notable criminal cases. He later founded the law firm Reibman & Hoffman, where he practiced law for over 50 years. Hoffman was also a collector of American glass, a lover of opera, and a supporter of various charities. His funeral service is scheduled for July 27 at Westlawn Cemetery Chapel in Norridge, Illinois.
