What's Happening?
The Los Angeles Urban League continues its mission to educate, elevate, and lead African Americans and other communities of color towards economic self-reliance and civil rights. The organization provides targeted social programs and advocates for issues benefiting these communities. Founded in 1921, the LAUL has a long history of addressing employment development, civil rights, and discrimination in housing, health, and education. The League's efforts have expanded to include youth projects and health services, such as the Willowbrook Health Center.
