Beatrice Eduah, a social worker from Cambridgeshire, has been found guilty of fraudulently working at three different councils simultaneously. Employed by Suffolk County Council's adult social care team, Eduah also held positions at two other local authorities, including Peterborough City Council, without disclosing her multiple employments. She submitted timesheets claiming the same hours for all three roles. A recruitment agency raised concerns in November 2023, leading to a criminal investigation. Eduah pleaded guilty to fraud by abuse of position for the period between June 2023 and November 2023. Cambridge Crown Court has ordered her to repay £17,668.53 to Suffolk County Council. Her sentencing is deferred until February 13, 2025, during which she must secure paid employment and save for the repayment.
