Maryon 'Happy' Stone, a cherished member of the Highland Park community, has passed away. Born in 1933, she spent her early years in Hyde Park, Chicago, where she met her childhood sweetheart, Ira Stone. Together, they moved to Highland Park and raised two children. Happy was a graduate of the University of Illinois and later earned her MSW from Loyola University. She worked at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Lake Forest Country Day School, dedicating her life to helping children and families. Happy was also active in volunteer work at the Museum of Contemporary Art. She is survived by her husband Richard Henriksen, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Services were held at Chicago Jewish Funerals, with memorial contributions suggested to local arts and children's organizations.
