His funeral arrangements include a visitation on August 21 at Salerno’s Rosedale Chapels in Roselle, Illinois, and a Mass of Christian burial at St. Isidore Church in Bloomingdale on August 22. Muegge's family has requested donations in his memory to Save the Children and the People’s Resource Center in Wheaton, Illinois.
