Rosalie "Roz" Pullara, a prominent figure in the Rochester, NY arts and education community, passed away on August 9 at the age of 86. Roz was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School and held degrees in Performing Arts and Education from SUNY Geneseo and SUNY Brockport, respectively. She dedicated 38 years to teaching musical theatre and performing arts in the Rochester City School District. Roz was also a talented singer, influenced by renowned vocalists such as Rosemary Clooney and Ella Fitzgerald, and performed in local nightclubs during the 1960s. Her artistic pursuits extended to writing, painting, and drawing, with two published novels to her name. Roz is survived by her partner, Barbara A. Adams, her daughters, grandchildren, and stepchildren. A memorial service will be held on August 18 at Falvo Funeral Home in Webster, NY.
