Alfredo Aguilar has been appointed as the executive chef at Villa Santa Cruz, a boutique beach resort and farm located in Todos Santos, Baja Sur. Aguilar, who was born in Mexico City, brings over a decade of culinary expertise to the role. His passion for food was cultivated by his family, with his father working at Mexico City's main wholesale market, Central de Abastos, and his mother's family in Puebla teaching him the importance of farming and seasonal produce. Aguilar has a rich culinary background, having worked with renowned chef Javier Plascencia and overseeing restaurant openings in Todos Santos. He has also worked at esteemed restaurants across Mexico, including Restaurante Don Sánchez in San José del Cabo and Gran Miramar in Puerto Vallarta. At Villa Santa Cruz, Aguilar will focus on serving locally-sourced ingredients and spotlighting the property's farm and garden, which features olive groves, agave fields, and vibrant fruit and vegetable gardens.
