Born in Rochester, NY, she was the eldest child of James Francis Mangan and Nancy Strong Mangan. Catherine, affectionately known as Cathy, was survived by her husband of 54 years, John, her children Andrew and Michael, and her grandchildren Dillon and Alaina. She was cherished by her siblings, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and numerous friends. Cathy was renowned for her generosity, lively spirit, and ability to make friends easily. Her love for family, friends, and life was evident in her actions and interactions. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for August 9 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Rochester, NY, followed by a celebration of her life.
