In 2022, he relocated to Rochester, New York, where he was cared for by his daughter, Carmen Allen, during a prolonged illness. Lee is survived by his wife, Alice Lee, and several children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. A celebration of his life is scheduled for August 23 at Memorial AME Zion Church in Rochester.
