Burton Hoffman, a distinguished attorney and patron of the arts, has passed away at the age of 93 in Rancho Mirage, California. Hoffman, known professionally as Burt, was born and raised in Chicago and became one of the youngest members admitted to the Illinois bar at age 22. He served as an Assistant State’s Attorney for Cook County before founding the law firm Reibman & Hoffman. Hoffman was also a noted collector of American glass and a supporter of various charities. He is survived by his wife Libby, their children, grandchildren, and great-grandson. Donations in his honor can be made to the Burton and Libby Hoffman Endowed Scholarship at DePaul University College of Law.
