Ellen worked as a dietician in various locations, notably as the sole Registered Dietician in White County, Indiana. Emerson preceded her in death in 2023. Ellen is survived by her three children and four grandchildren. A memorial service is planned for October at St. James Lutheran Church, where she was a member.
