Cameron Mofid, a 25-year-old from San Diego, California, has completed a remarkable journey by visiting all 195 countries in the world. Mofid, who was diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) at the age of 12, found his condition worsening during the COVID-19 lockdown in Miami. To combat his OCD, he embarked on a mission to visit every country, inspired by the fact that fewer people have achieved this feat than have traveled to space. Mofid set out to break the record under the rules of Nomad Mania, which required him to leave the airport and spend time in each country. His journey, which began in 2020, concluded in April 2025 in North Korea. Throughout his travels, Mofid faced numerous challenges, including detainment in Djibouti and Afghanistan, but also experienced the kindness of strangers worldwide.
