A retired Michigan autoworker, Richard Guilford, recently had his lost wallet returned to him after it was discovered under the hood of a car in Minnesota, more than a decade after it went missing. Guilford lost his wallet while working at a Ford assembly plant in Wayne, Michigan, in 2014. The wallet, containing a driver's license, work ID, gift cards, cash, and lottery tickets, was found by mechanic Chad Volk in June 2025. It was wedged between the transmission and air filter box of a 2015 Ford Edge with 151,000 miles on it. Guilford had given up searching for the wallet after it disappeared during his shift, but was surprised to learn of its discovery through a Facebook message from Volk.
