What's Happening?
Beyond Borders Café, located at 1036 Sterling Ave. in downtown Flossmoor, officially opened its doors on August 9. Owners Jennifer and Christopher Zarozny welcomed the community, including Mayor Michelle Nelson and village trustees, to the grand opening event. The café features a historical theme with antique items dating from the 1800s to the 1950s, inspired by the vintage look of downtown Flossmoor. The menu includes a variety of coffees sourced from Conscious Cup, a family-owned coffee roaster known for ethically sourcing beans from Venezuela, Sumatra, and Ethiopia. The café plans to expand its offerings to include beers and wines in the future.
