The Regenerative Viticulture Foundation (RVF) has introduced the UK edition of its One Block Challenge (1BC), aimed at encouraging British vineyards to adopt regenerative viticulture practices. The initiative was launched at The Grange in Hampshire, in collaboration with WineGB, through a workshop that included talks and practical demonstrations. The challenge invites wineries to dedicate a small parcel of their vineyard to trial regenerative practices over a year, starting with soil health assessments. Participants will conduct tests such as penetrometer and water infiltration tests, and will receive support from viticulture consultancy Vinescapes. The initiative is designed to be inclusive, welcoming growers at any stage of their sustainability journey, and aims to foster collaboration among participants.
