His career in the coin and collectible business began with his brother Malcolm, eventually leading him to establish American Coins & Collectibles in Shreveport in 1993. Richie was known for his passion for old currency and documents, co-authoring several books on bonds and currency. He was respected in the numismatic community and traveled globally in search of hidden treasures. Richie is survived by his daughter, Audra Jean King-Self, and other family members. A memorial service is scheduled for August 9, 2025, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Shreveport.
