Michael Joseph Eder, a resident of Elmhurst, Illinois, passed away at the age of 68 on August 16, 2025. Eder was known for his contributions to carpentry and his passion for sports, particularly baseball and hockey. He grew up in Schiller Park, attended St. Maria Goretti School and East Leyden High School, and later became a skilled carpenter and member of the Mid-America Carpenters Union. Eder played semi-professional hockey and was active in the Hustlers softball league. He was a devoted husband to Elizabeth and father to Stephanie and Lauren. His legacy in carpentry is evident in the buildings and homes he worked on throughout the Chicago area. Eder's funeral services are scheduled for August 21 and 22, 2025, in Elmhurst.
