Born in Chicago, he grew up in Schiller Park and attended St. Maria Goretti School and East Leyden High School. Eder excelled in baseball and hockey from a young age, eventually playing as a Forward on semi-professional hockey teams and participating in the Hustlers softball league. He married Elizabeth in 1984, and they lived in Elmhurst for 38 years. Eder was a member of St. Maria Goretti Parish and later St. Charles Borromeo Parish in Bensenville. He was a skilled carpenter and a proud member of the Mid-America Carpenters Union, contributing to various building projects across the Chicago area. Eder is remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, and loyal friend. Visitation is scheduled for August 21, 2025, at Pedersen Ryberg Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial on August 22, 2025, at Visitation Catholic Church.
