What's Happening?
Starting October 2025, community pharmacies in England will provide flu vaccinations to children aged two to three years as part of a new NHS England advanced service. The initiative aims to improve flu vaccine uptake among young children, who are currently vaccinated primarily through GP surgeries. Pharmacies will administer live attenuated influenza vaccine nasal sprays, supplied from centrally procured NHS stock. Pharmacy contractors will receive payment for each vaccination administered, enhancing their role in public health.
