What's Happening?
The Keʻalohi Piano Competition is scheduled to begin on August 17 at the Orvis Auditorium in Hawaii, featuring 13 competitors from Japan, China, Korea, Russia, and the USA. The competition will unfold in three rounds: Quarter Finals on August 17-18, Semi Finals on August 21, and Finals on August 24 at the Blaisdell Concert Hall, where competitors will perform with the Hawaii Symphony Orchestra. Admission is free for all rounds except the final concert. Esteemed judges include Angela Cheng, Akira Eguchi, Robert Koenig, and Alan Chao. The event aims to discover the brightest piano talent every three years.
