What's Happening?
Screen Australia and the Australian Writers’ Guild have announced the participants for the 2025 edition of The Creators program. This initiative aims to accelerate the careers of Australian screenwriters by providing high-level showrunner training and project development opportunities. Seven screenwriters, including Tamara Asmar, Anna Barnes, Sarah Bassiuoni, Glen Dolman, Michelle Offen, Jessica Tuckwell, and Monica Zanetti, have been selected to participate. The program is led by American television writer Jeff Melvoin, known for his Emmy-winning work on 'Northern Exposure' and 'Killing Eve.' Participants will receive training modeled after the Writers Guild of America's Showrunner Training Program, focusing on selling their work both locally and internationally.
