The Tasveer Producers Lab, backed by Amazon MGM Studios, has been launched to support South Asian filmmakers. The lab, operating out of Los Angeles, selected five projects from over 100 submissions for its inaugural cohort. Milan Chakraborty, head of film at Marginal MediaWorks, has been appointed as the lab's first artistic director. The program includes workshops at Amazon MGM Studios and culminates at the Tasveer Film Market in Seattle, where participants will pitch their projects for a $10,000 development grant.
