Locarno's Match Me! program, established in 2015, serves as a networking platform for young producers with strong auteurist visions seeking international co-production opportunities. Supported by 14 national film agencies, the program showcases 37 companies from various countries, including Brazil, Chile, Dominican Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Spain, and Uruguay. The projects presented range from narratives addressing queer migration, Amazonian injustice, and unique historical figures, to explorations of neo-colonialism and environmental themes. Notable projects include 'Vaca Muerta' by Sophia Mocorrea, 'Echoes' by Kryzz Gautier, and 'The Murk' by Nafta Films, each tackling significant social and cultural issues.
