And now, ten days into its run, the movie continues to pull in large audiences and has crossed the impressive ₹ 90 crore mark in India.
According to Sacnilk, the film earned ₹ 6.5 crore on its ninth day and added another ₹ 6.25 crore on its second Sunday, i.e, day 10. With the addition of these numbers, Jolly LLB 3’s total net collection in India stands at ₹ 90.50 crore, which means the film is inching towards the ₹100 crore mark domestically. On the other hand, the film has already raked in around ₹ 127 crore globally, whereas the final worldwide numbers for day 10 are still awaited.
The best part? The courtroom drama has managed to maintain steady collections despite facing tough competition at the box office with Pawan Kalyan’s They Call Him OG. While the first weekend gave the film a flying start with opening numbers of ₹ 12.5 crore on Friday, the numbers only improved with ₹ 20 crore on Saturday and went higher with ₹ 21 crore on Sunday. Naturally, weekdays saw a dip, but the second weekend collections are proof that the film is far from slowing down.
Jolly LLB franchise
The Jolly LLB franchise has been a fan favourite ever since the first film was released in 2013 with Arshad Warsi as lawyer Jagdish Tyagi. Its sequel in 2017 saw Akshay Kumar step into the shoes of another lawyer, Jagdwishwar Mishra. Both films were applauded for their depiction of socially relevant courtroom battles.
The latest part brings both actors together for the first time in the franchise. Along with them, the film stars Saurabh Shukla, Huma Qureshi, Amrita Rao, Gajraj Rao, Annu Kapoor and Seema Biswas. With its powerful story and hilarious courtroom face-off, Jolly LLB 3 is expected to join the ₹ 100 crore club domestically in the coming days.
