Dematic, a supply chain automation company, has partnered with the global nonprofit FIRST to award scholarships to students pursuing STEM education. The Dematic FIRST Scholarship program, now in its fifth year, has granted $20,000 in scholarships to 12 students. Two students received $5,000 each, while ten others received $1,000 each. The scholarship program aims to support students who have participated in FIRST Robotics Competition or FIRST Tech Challenge. Applicants were required to submit transcripts, a letter of recommendation, and an essay proposing solutions to water resource issues using existing or emerging technologies. The scholarship recipients were selected by a panel of Dematic leaders from applications across 12 states and Canada.
