These are agentic AI, which refers to AI systems capable of independent action and decision-making; software and product development, emphasizing the creation of scalable and innovative digital solutions; digital infrastructure, ensuring robust and efficient foundational systems; innovation-led engineering, driving R&D and cutting-edge technological advancements; and India-focused solutions, catering to the unique needs and opportunities within the domestic market. These strategic priorities are designed to not only address growing domestic demand but also to foster global expansion. Companies that fail to embrace this transformation risk being confined to the lower-margin segments of the global services market, unable to compete effectively with more agile and technologically advanced players.
Policy and Talent Imperatives
Beyond strategic business shifts, NITI Aayog also underscores the critical need for supportive policy frameworks to facilitate this transition.
