FL Technics Indonesia is planning a significant expansion of its maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) facilities in Jakarta. The company aims to more than double its current footprint by adding a six-bay hangar, two painting bays, an engine shop, and a wheels and brakes shop. This expansion involves an investment of approximately €50 million ($58 million) and is expected to be completed by late 2026. The expansion is driven by robust demand in the Southeast Asia region, which is home to thousands of aircraft and has a strong delivery pipeline over the next five years. FL Technics Indonesia's current facility, which opened in December 2016, can accommodate 8-10 narrowbody aircraft simultaneously, including Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 variants.

The company is also working towards obtaining European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) certification by the end of 2025 or early 2026, which would enhance its credibility and service offerings. As the demand for MRO services continues to grow, FL Technics may consider additional expansions to accommodate more aircraft and provide a wider range of services.
