The Australian Travel Industry Association (ATIA) is calling on travel businesses to join the ATIA Modern Slavery Collaboration (AMSC). This initiative aims to address modern slavery risks within global supply chains, particularly in the travel industry. The collaboration builds on previous efforts by Intrepid Travel and Flight Centre, who initiated a consortium to tackle these issues. Under Australia's Modern Slavery Act 2018, large entities must report on slavery risks, but smaller businesses are encouraged to participate voluntarily to enhance ethical standards and meet client expectations.
