What's Happening?
KNL has been awarded a joint procurement contract to supply Cognitive Networked HF (CNHF) Manpack radios to the Finnish Defence Forces and the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration. The contract, valued at approximately €15 million ($17 million), is expected to be fulfilled by the end of 2025. The CNHF Manpack radio is designed to operate in environments where satellite communications are unavailable, providing wideband HF communications with speeds up to 300kbps. It features encrypted voice and data transmissions, ensuring secure communications. This procurement marks the first joint acquisition under the NORDEFCO implementing arrangement for command, control, communications, computers, and intelligence systems.
