What's Happening?
The Eastern Cape Development Corporation (ECDC) has launched a new export strategy in partnership with the Swiss Import Promotion Programme (SIPPO) to boost the export of indigenous plants. The strategy aims to increase exports by 25% over three years, providing local producers access to five new international markets and support for 15 new product certifications. More than 100 micro, small, and medium enterprises will receive training and support. Target markets include North America, Europe, and Asia, where demand for organic and sustainable products is rising.
